The Legend of Heroes: Akatsuki no Kiseki (英雄伝説(えいゆうでんせつ) 暁の軌跡(アカツキノキセキ)), known by some English-speaking fans as The Legend of Heroes: Trails at Dawn, is a browser game set in the Trails universe. The game focuses around a group of bracers and takes place in Liberl, Crossbell, and Remiferia.

After a brief open beta between 25 August and 30 August, the game officially launched on 31 August, 2016. Since then, the game has received ports to various other systems. Service for the Nintendo Switch port ended on 28 April 2022 and for PlayStation platforms on 15 May 2022.

On June 1, 2018, the game was released as The Legend of Heroes: Hoshi no Kiseki (英雄伝説 星の軌跡) for smartphones in the Chinese region and released later that year.[1] A Japanese version of the mobile port, titled Akatsuki no Kiseki M (英雄伝説 暁の軌跡モバイル), was announced on June 18, 2019.[2]

Although this game never got an official English release, Trails into Reverie refers to this game under the name The Legend of Heroes: Trails at Sunrise during the Who Wants to Be a Mirannaire? minigame.

In S.1204, the Principality of Remiferia is terrorized by an unprecedented threat. Terrorist activities that started in neighboring nations eventually set their sight on Remiferia's capital, Ardent. First a giant monster invades the city. A couple of days later the colossal aircraft Jormungand occupies Ardent's airspace.

These activities are orchestrated by the War Lord, a renowned arms dealer of the underground. The War Lord demands Ardent's surrender, but the combined power of Remiferia's government and private sector drives the War Lord back. They also managed to prevent a planned eruption of a volcano north of Ardent. In the end, the nation announces the deaths of the plan's masterminds, the War Lord and several key players. The only survivor, Kostas, remains informally imprisoned.

The contribution of the Trial Team played a crucial role in the resolution of the incidents, but its success was not widely reported per request of Lif, who feared that it would severely restrict future endeavours of the team.
