Calmare (カルマーレ) is one of the districts that compose the Liber Ark. It's composed of hexagonal sections full of parks.

Background

Built as the ultimate in rest and relaxation for the citizens of the Ark, the Calmare district is Liber Ark's premiere park and recreation district, located in the west of the city. Each section of the park, designed around the theme of 'harmony between progress and nature,' is a hexagon exactly 300 arge across. Calmare as a whole is made up of dozens of dozens of these hexagons.
The Calmare District has four Halo Rail stations--North, South, East and West. Each station's tour path routes through different sections of Calmare, allowing one to enjoy vistas of all the seasons and wildlife Calmare has to offer.

The Arseille crash-lands on the edge of the Liber Ark after being taken down by Leonhardt on his Reverie Dragion, almost falling off. The occupants head out of the airship to see that they've landed in a park-like area, and Sieg informs them that they are on the western edge of the Ark, while the Glorious is docked on the opposite side.

After assessing the damage done to the airship, Estelle and Joshua lead a party to explore the city (not before Joshua and Kevin prepare their own business) while the rest stays behind to help with the repairs and the Capel deciphers the Data crystals. Taking the nearby elevator to a station up in the air, they manage to open the door to some tunnels that lead elsewhere in the city.

Once they've reached the Axis Pillar, the Arseille's repairs are complete enough that Julia Schwarz and Mueller Vander request to join the party.
