The Calvard National Police are the police force serving in Calvard.
Background[]
The National police are active across the Republic. The branch operating in the capital, Edith are referred to as the Capital Police.
Trails through Daybreak[]
The police run into Van Arkride and the Arkride Solutions Office on several occasions throughout the story. On most occasions, they are on the hunt for suspicious individuals or criminals such as Grimcat or members of Almata. They dislike people who skirt the law with their actions and therefore are not on good terms with Van. Because Van is caught in suspicious circumstances more than once, the police find dealing with him especially egregious. Influence from the Central Intelligence Department and René Kincaid often get Van out of these situations.
As the game progresses, the inspectors build a begrudging respect for Van and his methods, and how working on the dark side of things can often get things done that they cannot.
