Celestial Globe

The Celestial Globe (星辰(せいしん)()) is a location first seen in Trails in the Sky the 3rd. It acts as a meeting place for Ouroboros, and has designated spots for each of the seven Anguis and the Grandmaster.

Background[]

The Celestial Globe is a Phase Space used by Ouroboros' leadership to hold meetings, containing a central platform surrounded by seven pillars representing Anguis and a larger pillar representing the Grandmaster. Those attending may appear in person or as projections. The Grandmaster's pillar physically descends into the globe when she appears while the pillars associated with the Anguis light up to represent their presence. Other individuals brought to the Celestial Globe stand on the central platform.

Access to the Globe is restricted to designated individuals and can be granted via specialized terminals such as the one concealed in the machinery surrounding the pipe organ onboard the Glorious. An individual with access may bring others to the Globe with them.

Trails in the Sky the 3rd[]

The Celestial Globe is first seen during the events of Star Door 14, when Campanella accesses it to present the Anguis and the Grandmaster with his report on the completion of the Gospel Plan and to deliver Aureole directly to the Grandmaster. All six of the then-living Anguis are present for the report and for the Grandmaster's announcement of the beginning of the Phantasmal Blaze Plan.

Trails to Azure[]

Campanella along with the First, Sixth and Seventh Anguis make use of the Celestial Globe to share information on the progress of Phantasmal Blaze in Crossbell during the middle act of the story.

During the ending credits, the Globe is seen again with Campanella bringing Shirley Orlando and Mariabell Crois to the Celestial Globe to present them to the Grandmaster.

Trails of Cold Steel IV[]

The Globe is seen in the post-credits stinger following the True Ending, with Campanella, Mariabell and the First Anguis discussing the culmination of Phantasmal Blaze. The Grandmaster appears, warns that the primordial nothingness is but three years away and formally announces the beginning of the Eternal Recurrence Plan.

Trails into Reverie[]

During the Daydream Look Back to Look Forward, McBurn manages to break into the Celestial Globe and talks to the Grandmaster, with her successfully convincing him to return to Ouroboros to act as the 'guiding bonfire' before F. Novartis arrives and asks if he knew who managed to delete his data on the simulacrum. At that moment, Calvard's new President Roy Gramheart manages to hack into the Celestial Globe using the Marduk Company as an intermediary and proposes a deal with the Grandmaster to not get involved with the business of each other for the next two and a half years, which the Grandmaster accepts while congratulating his successful election.

Other Appearances[]

  • In Loewe Monogatari, the Grandmaster and Arianrhod hold multiple meetings within the Globe where they observe the events of the story. At one point following the breaking of his original sword, Arianrhod brings Loewe to the Globe where the Grandmaster offers him Kernviter, which Loewe accepts.
  • In Reverie, the Grandmaster mentions that McBurn had previously visited the Globe about ten years prior when she presented him with the sword Angbar.
