The city of Bose (商業都市(しょうぎょうとし)ボース), also known as the City of Commerce, is the regional capital of the Bose region and the second-largest city in Liberl.

Overview of City of Bose.

Background

Bose specializes in trade, even regularly negotiating shipments with Erebonia. Renowned for amassing both goods and expatriates by means of the Haken Gate in the north, Bose is a veritable melting pot of commerce and community. At its urban center lies the massive Bose Market, a sprawling indoor flea market where groceries, clothes, books, general goods and anything else you can imagine can be found for sale in extensive quantities.

The City of Bose is located around the center of the Bose region in Liberl Kingdom. It is a huge economic power with all its merchants around the city. The houses are well done in that it even rivals Grancel's houses in design. In addition to the market, the north block also consists of two restaurants, the church, bracer guild, and the mayor's residence. The south block consists of most of the houses, an orbal factory, and an arms and guards shop. The market itself holds many smaller item shops inside with a huge amount of NPCs doing work there.

During the Hundred Days War, the market, as well as most of the city was destroyed due to the bombing and fighting from the Empire. After the war ended, the merchants led by Mayor Windolman, father of the current Mayor Maybelle, used their fortune to rebuild the market and bring back Bose to prosperity faster than anywhere else.

Trails in the Sky FC

Background

Estelle, Joshua and Scherazard travel to Bose in search of clues regarding the disappearance of the Linde, which Cassius Bright was supposed to be flying on. They sign into the Bracer Guild branch there and then go to Mayor Maybelle for information, who sends them to Haken Gate to speak with General Morgan, warning them that Morgan did not take kindly to bracers.

After returning with Olivier in tow (who leaves to do his own touring), they spot Nial and Dorothy trying (and failing) to get an interview with the Mayor. The bracers offer an information exchange that points them to Ravennue Village where eventually they find the Linde and get arrested by the Royal Army.

Back in Bose, there has been a robbery overnight. After investigating and meeting Colonel Richard of the newly established Intelligence Division, Cecile and her husband Kuwano lead them to Valleria Lakeshore.

The bracers are able to solve the sky bandit incident, and in Bose Estelle and Joshua receive a package and a letter from Cassius, who wasn't found among the passengers of the Linde. The package contains a mysterious black orbment, and a mention of a Professor R. The two decide to continue their travels around Liberl in order to become senior bracers and find out more information, while Scherazard and Olivier on an airship return to Rolent.

Background

While Estelle investigated Ouroboros' movements elsewhere, Joshua was spotted with the Capuas near Bose. After being stopped in Rolent by another Ouroboros incident, Estelle finally reaches Bose and investigates strange monsters with Agate.

Soon after, Bose is attacked by a dragon controlled by another of Ouroboros' Enforcers, Leonhardt the Bladelord, who they knew previously as Lorence Belgar. The dragon destroys the Bose Market before leaving towards Ravennue Village, and while Agate rushes behind them, Estelle and the rest stay behind to help the victims of the attack.

Once everyone (save Agate who stayed behind to heal his injuries, and Tita with him) returns to Bose, they're informed of a military operation to capture the dragon, which the bracers will only take part of as observers aboard the Arseille. The operation seems successful at first, but fails once the Gospel on the dragon's forehead forces it to return to its den. Estelle, Agate, Tita and the rest are then tasked by General Morgan and Mayor Maybelle to deal with the dragon without alerting it.

The market remained closed for rebuilding until the bracers were able to solve the incident with the dragon, after which it reopened again. During the rebuilding, all the merchants moved their businesses to the Frieden Hotel.

After the Liber Ark appears again in the sky, Liberl is thrown into chaos due to orbments failing. To deal with the situation, the Bracer Guild intends to restore communication between the various branches using Professor Russell's Zero Field Generators. Bose's branch is the first one to receive one such device, and with Grancel's being dealt with by Kloe, the bracers and Tita head out to the other cities. Despite the initial chaos, the merchants of Bose make the best of the situation and unite to provide new services and items.
