Archbishop Currant, a NPC met in Grancel
Archbishop Currant is a high-ranking priest working in the Grand Cathedral in Grancel.
As the top-ranking priest at the cathedral, he's the one leading the daily mass at the church.
The Septian Church has had close bonds with Liberl's Royal Family for 1000 years and Currant has been following that tradition, having established a good relationship with Queen Alicia, though he mentions that what he'd really like is the Queen's friendship. He believes in separation of church and state, but he still believes they should work together whenever the opportunity presents itself.
When the news about the Queen's "illness" reaches the church, Currant is quick to ask about the symptoms so he can have medication prepared, but he doesn't receive a clear answer and he isn't granted an audience.
Currant gets another opportunity to show his allegiance to the Queen, though, when the Royal Guard is framed for the attack on Zeiss Central Factory and the unit's commander, Julia Schwarz, seeks asylum at the church. Currant allows her to hide in the church, taking on the name "Sister Ellen" to avoid capture by the Intelligence Division. After Estelle and Joshua accept the queen's request to rescue the princess, Julia receives a message from Queen Alicia telling her to assist the Guild. Not wanting to involve the archbishop too much, Julia says goodbye to him and then leaves to assemble her men without telling Currant what she's up to. Later that day, Estelle, Joshua and Zin arrive at the church and approach the archbishop in order to get in contact with Lieutenant Schwarz, but he's unable to tell them the lieutenant's location, though he assures them she left with a look of hope in her eyes.
He sends them on their way with the assurance that hard and honest work will always lead one down the right path, which is somewhat of a personal motto of his.
