Colonel Dalton (ダルトン大佐だ) is the commander of the 23rd Armored Division of the Imperial Army of Erebonia.

Appearance[]
Dalton is a tall man with Prussian blue coloured hair, including a beard and moustache. He wears the officer's version of the standard uniform for members of the Imperial Army of Erebonia, complete with a cap. Dalton carries a sabre for use in combat and a dagger can be seen hanging from his belt.
Personality[]
Dalton is an extreme patriot and hates the idea of Erebonia being 'trampled' by what he refers to as enemy nations. He does not wish for the blood of soldiers lost to be in vain.
Background[]
The 23rd Armored Division was one of the newly formed components of the Imperial Army for the Great War. Dalton was extremely dissatisfied with the de-escalation policies the Empire had to follow following the end of the conflict. At the end of the war, control of the Zender Gate was transferred to Dalton from the Seventh Division. He is serving as the section commander in the absence of anyone ranked general or higher being available.
Trails into Reverie[]
Dalton welcomes Rean Schwarzer, Class VII and the rest of the party on their arrival to the Zender gate in their search for the Courageous II in the Nord Highlands. He makes it clear that he disapproves of the way the 'Ace of the Seventh Division' had been relegated to simple guard duties. He apologises for the snide remark and states his surprise that they would come to the Nord Highlands looking for clues, as it has been very calm. He redirects them to the people of the Nomadic Settlement who might know more.
Whilst at the tower, Dalton sends an emergency message stating that Calvardian tanks are advancing towards the border. He asks them to evacuate the remaining civilians and abruptly hangs up. After Mueller Vander reveals his suspicions, and the Courageous is eventually found, Dalton radios in revealing he has the Courageous. He asks them to surrender if they value the life of the prince. It was Dalton who dispatched the Simulacrum of Arios MacLaine after Rean's party runs the risk of discovering the device. He regrets that his comrades in Heimdallr leaked the information. The party are able to move in however as Prince Olivert reveals he has made an escape from his confinement as is making moves to retake the ship.
Dalton and his best troops make a stand on the bridge. He reveals his affiliation with Supreme Leader Rufus Albarea and the motivations behind why they are making moves to support the Supreme Leader and what they see as the future of the Empire. His plan is to use the Prince as a symbol for this, and states the Supreme Leader has the entire continent in mind, with Erebonia at the center. Dalton and his men glow with an aura resembling the Erebonian Curse.
After Darlton is defeated, he orders a raid on the Courageous II by nearby airships. However, the tanks and soldats suddenly begin firing on them and moving autonomously. After they escape from the autonomous tanks. Dalton is taken into custody.
