Daydreams

Daydreams (エピソード一) are side stories in Trails into Reverie. Daydreams are focused on events outside events of the main story and similar to Memory Doors from Trails in the Sky the 3rd.

Daydreams are unlocked by killing rare enemies in the True Reverie Corridor who will drops orbs. Depending on the color of the orb you will get a different reward, gold orbs unlock characters, blue orbs unlock daydreams, and red orbs unlock minigames. Daydreams consist of flashbacks that usually take place before the events of the main story. Completion of daydreams rewards the player with mira, quartz, equipment and costumes.

There are 31 orbs in total, split into three types:

• The gold orb (金の封印有) consist of characters.
• The blue orb (青の封印有) consist of daydreams.
• The red orb (朱の封印有) consist of minigames.

Trivia

• Battles within daydreams take place at levels lower than the main game (unaffected by level offset if selected from the menu) and with a preset inventory and quartz. Enemy scans in daydreams do not count towards the achievement for scanning enemies and are recorded automatically in the notebook upon completing each daydream. Items dropped during daydreams are not retained following the daydream, but can be used in subsequent battles within that daydream. The exception is the Ultimate Wilderness Cooking in which the ingredients obtained by Freddy will be available to the player following the daydream.
• Viewing all daydreams (including content from Sporting Stone games) unlocks the trophy / achievement "I Dream of You." Coda and additional content (DLC in the original Japanese version, but included by default internationally) is not required. Specifically, the player must view the first 17 daydreams at the Slab of Reminiscence, complete Magical Alisa's Love Shot, the Beachside Vay-Cay, Project Tyrfing and the first three stages of Who Wants to Be a Mirannaire.
