Enigma (ENIGMA(エニグマ)) is the fifth-generation combat orbment developed by the Epstein Foundation. In addition to enabling new orbal arts, it is the first orbment with built-in communications functionality. In conjunction with the Orbal Network Project, the Crossbell government and its Bracer Guild branch accepts the Foundation's request to beta-test its communications using expensive relay terminals within the city.

Background[]

Like the previous battle orbments in the series, its basic architecture allows installing quartz to strengthen the user's physical capabilities, enabling orbal arts, but additionally allows for portable communication between places. Trails to Azure introduces Enigma II, the improved version of Enigma orbment.

Features[]

  • Portable Communication: One of the primary functions to keep contact with fellow users anytime and anywhere.
  • Orbal arts: One of the primary functions for self-enhancement and combat magic by inserting quartzes into slots. For this new module, new types of quartzes are required to fit the slots in adjustment to the series' gaming balance.
  • Master quartz System: A feature available only on Enigma II, introducing special quartz that can only be inserted into the central slot of the orbment, where it can level up and gain new abilities.
