The Hollow Gardens (虚白ノ焉庭) is a location accessed in Trails through Daybreak II.
Background[]
The Hollow Gardens serves as the base of operations for Gardenmaster from a location in Phase Space, using the hijacked Märchen Garten. From this location, Gardenmaster is by some means able to observe what goes on in the real world and affect it with the Oct-Geneses. Grendel Zolga and an eroded Swin Abel are present with him at this location.
The Garden itself is full of ornately decorated platforms and passageways with plantlife. It is described as a cold atmosphere and empty. It can be accessed by the statue of Sheena Dirke in the Dirke Memorial Park, and any location similarly affiliated with it, such as the statue of Sheena in Revolution Plaza, can be connected to it. Ishtanti and the Fangs of Rahu act as guardians, with the Hollow Gardens being the closest remnant to the Gardens.
Trails through Daybreak II[]
Nadia Rayne infiltrates the Hollow Gardens and retrieves the seventh Genesis from Gardenmaster before Swin can kill her.
The Arkride Solutions Office trace Gardenmaster here after identifying a connection between the statue in Revolution Plaza and the one in Dirke Memorial Park. They use Lucrezia Isselee's Dusk Glaive and Shizuna Rem Misurugi's Odachi in tandem to force open a gateway.
After clearing the Hollow Gardens and reclaiming Swin, the party confront Gardenmaster who reveals himself as Auguste Aldan after the party deduce he is neither Ace Rayne nor from this era. He is defeated and a small white portal opens up. Nadia and Swin go through this portal and briefly meet the genuine Ace's spirit. After this action, the party are returned to the park.
