The Imperial Chronicle (帝国時報) is the national newspaper and news service of Erebonia.
Background[]
The Imperial Chronicle is the main news service for Erebonia. Its main headquarters is located on Vainqueur Street in Heimdallr. It has been around in Erebonia for over a century, and while originally aimed squarely at the nobility, it is now read by people of all social statuses.[1]
The newspaper also covers a wide range of subjects including gourmet and travel sections.
Trails of Cold Steel I, II, III, and IV[]
During the Erebonian Civil War, the Imperial Chronicle was forced by the Noble Alliance to write highly biased articles praising the alliance. But since the end of the war, they have been praising Giliath Osborne and the Reformist Faction instead. However, because of the checking of data that’s being reported, the Trista Radio Station has since begun to apply pressure on the Imperial Chronicle.
Vivi, an alumnus of Thors Branch Campus takes up a role as a journalist for the chronicle following graduation. She runs a column detailing the spots of beauty and interest across the empire, but offloads lots of this work to Rean Schwarzer to find locations. Rex, another graduate of Thors works as a photographer for the Chronicle as well.
The Chronicle has been known to collaborate with other newspapers such as the Crossbell Times.
