Ines (アイネス), romanised by Falcom as Aines, and also known as Ines the Stout (剛毅(ごうき)のアイネス), is a commanding knight of the Stahlritter.

Profile

Introduction

One of the members of the Stahlritter, Ines has the air of a true warrior about her. She uses her tremendous strength to easily swing around a gigantic halberd. Much like Duvalie, she has sworn absolute loyalty to the Steel Maiden and approaches her missions with the utmost dedication. She is constantly looking to sharpen her skills as a warrior and shows interest in the young Arseid swordswoman Duvalie fought during the civil war.

Appearance

Ines is a young woman with turquoise eyes and pastel-red hair which is worn in a long one-sided pony tail. With her 180 rege (1.80 meter) in height and wielding an enormous halberd, Ines's appearance is best described as imposing. She wears the standard armor of the Stahlritter, resembling a medieval knight's with several plates and round guards at the joints. Form-fitting black under clothing is worn beneath the armor, and a fuchsia skirt, split down the sides, is draped around the waist, sporting the Ouroboros emblem. Ines also wears an armoured headband with four protruding feathers and a large central piece above the forehead.

Personality

Her loyalty is devoted only to her master, but kept at a moderate level unlike Duvalie's fanaticism. She keeps a strict warriors code and places a lot of self-discipline towards improving her martial arts, even after her defeat in Crossbell after facing the Special Support Section. on some occasions, Ines is not above teasing the head knight Duvalie along side fellow knight Ennea.

Trivia

• Of the 39 playable characters in Trails of Cold Steel IV, Ines is one of only four who does not have an S-Craft. The others are Ennea, Celine and George Nome.
• Ines is one of the few characters playable in Trails of Cold Steel IV that does not return as a playable character in Trails into Reverie alongside Ennea, Xeno and Leonidas.
