Sister Kiera, a NPC met in Zeiss
Sister Kiera is the nun on duty at the Zeiss branch of the Septian Church.
Zeiss doesn't have a very pious population and the people of the town are usually too busy with work to spend a lot of time praying in church. As a result, Father Vixen has been taking steps towards making his church more like a community center than a house of prayer, offering medicine to the sick and offering moral support to those who are troubled. This puts Sister Kiera at odds with him since she's still sticking to the idea of the church being strictly a house of worship. She's annoyed by the fact that most people in town see the church as an apothecary and only visit if they need a batch of medicine.
She starts reconsidering her views when Tita, Estelle and Joshua approach Father Vixen for a cure to save Agate from the poisoning he contracted after getting hit with a neurotoxin-coated bullet. After the bracers return with the required ingredient and Agate is saved by the serum that Father Vixen concocts, Kiera realizes the church can do a lot more good by taking a broader role than merely acting as a place where people can pray and that if they do their best to support people in whatever way they can, they're more likely to visit often and perhaps do some praying on the side as well.
Just before Estelle and Joshua set off to Grancel, Kiera starts greeting visitors with a "Welcome. I'm always here to listen." rather than a "Welcome. Please pray at the altar."
