Sun Door 4 found in the Umbral Labyrinth
Memory Doors (記憶の扉) are the Trails in the Sky the 3rd equivalent of optional quests from other games.
Memory Doors are scattered around Phantasma, with each door providing side story episodes in the form of cutscenes, interactive flashbacks, battles, or minigames, providing a reward on completion. Each door has associated requirements presented in form of a riddle. If the party satisfies the requirements, the door can be opened. Some doors instead (or in addition) require an entry battle that must be won to access the content.
The Recluse Cube can teleport to any previously examined door, regardless of whether it was completed or not.
There are 25 doors in total, split into three types:
- The Moon Doors (月の扉) number 5 and consist of long stories.
- The Star Doors (星の扉) number 15 and consist of (usually) short stories.
- The Sun Doors (太陽の扉) number 5 and consist exclusively of minigames.
