On September 1st, S.1206, the day Operation Jormungandr begins, Rean Schwarzer receives a call from Toval Randonneur about a spirit shrine appearing in Auros Coastal Road. Inside, they find Argres, the Nameless One, now free of the curse but dying after the events at the Gral of Erebos. After giving Class VII one last trial, Argres uses the last of its strength to give them the Earthen Prison, the key needed to defeat Ishmelga for good.
If the Earthen Prison wasn't obtained before heading to Tuatha De Danann, after defeating Ishmelga the first time a portal will appear at the entrance of the Empyreal Fortress that leads directly to the Sanctus Shrine, with a mysterious voice compelling Rean to go through the trial.
