Wallace Bardias is the right-hand man, the successor of the Bardias School of spearmanship that finds its origins in Nord. It is believed Bardias is a descendant of the few Nord warriors that aided Dreichels Reise Arnor during the War of the Lions but did not return to the Nord Highlands afterwards.
As a student at Thors Military Academy, he and fellow student Aurelia Le Guin frequently duelled on horseback. They have been sworn friends ever since.
In Trails of Cold Steel III, he is stationed at Juno Naval Fortress as commander-in-chief. He dispatches from the fortress when Wilhelm Ballad orders him to retrieve the railway guns stolen by Ouroboros. There he confronts McBurn, allowing him little leeway.
In Trails of Cold Steel IV, he commanded the Weissland Army alongside Aurelia. He assists Class VII in various manners, piloting his Panzer Soldat included. During one of the game's bonding events, Bardias meets with Gaius Worzel to address Gaius's devotion to the Gralsritter's mission at the cost of his views as a warrior of the Nord.
The duel that follows proves that the Black Whirlwind's strength rivals Gaius's power as one of the Dominion. They continue their fight on horseback in Nord tradition, from which Bardias emerges victorious. Gaius's loss helps him realise what it was he lost sight of.
