The Warriors of Kruga (クルガ戦士団), often referred to as simply Kruga, is a jaeger corps originating in Central-Eastern Zemuria.

Background[]

The Kruga clan originates from the Central-Eastern part of Zemuria. They are very traditional and known for their sense of pride. The corps are dedicated to the Flame and Arusha, the Goddess interpreted as a form of Aidios. Some of their battle cries include, "Shine out! Warlords of El Halcon!" and "The Flame and glory of Arusha at our backs". The corps are not known to take 'dirty' jobs.

Kruga doctrine includes avoiding rash decisions based on emotion. Guiding each according to their own Flame is what it means to be a Warrior of Kruga. They deploy multiple units, communicating between one another so that the second units can learn from the experiences of the others.

The Kruga have a friendly rivalry with rival corps, Eisenschild. They receive technical support from the Marduk Company.

Trails through Daybreak[]

Some time prior to the story begins, Kasim Al-Fayed, Hasan Al-Fayed eldest son left the corps regarding certain disagreements with his father. One of these disagreements was about whether Feri Al-Fayed should be allowed an active combat role at the time.

Less than a month prior to the story, The Kruga are victorious in a proxy war with the Eisenschild corps, splitting the proceeds 6:4 as a result of a ceasefire before returning to their home villages. Aida's unit goes missing however and Feri is forbidden to search for her due to her inexperience. Feri ignores this and seeks the aid of the Arkride Solutions Office. When Aida is located in Creil and close to death, a unit of the Khurga appear with Hasan, and they urged Feri to deal the finishing blow, which she fails to do. As a result, Feri is exiled from the clan and left in the care of Van Arkride who must' take responsibility' for dealing the final blow and depriving Feri of a chance to grow. Hasan threatens Van with the full force of the Khurga should he dishonor her. The Corps depart for the Central East following these events.

Kruga are one of the many factions who head to Oración seeking to act against Almata, and are hence-with caught up in the Carnival. Feri speculates that they are very displeased with how Almata has involved innocent civilians and will seek to eradicate them completely. The Kruga take part with two units, Hasan leading the first. When the first unit is taken out by Ashladd and Iscariot, the defeated unit feeds back to to other and they come up new new strategies, allowing the surviving unit to put up much more of a fight when they in turn encounter Ashladd. Kruga and Eisenschild once again encounter one another and Van must decide which side to support, with the one he acts against withdrawing from the death game.

In the new year the Kruga village celebrates a festival with a girl selected to sing the Song of Flames and thank the goddess for the years and seek blessing for the year to come. Feri is chosen this year.
